Trinity Lutheran Preschool

Meet our Preschool Staff

Barb Daniel, Director: Director and teacher Barb Daniel is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti with a BS in K-8 Education and MA degree in Reading Education with an Early Childhood endorsement. She taught at the St. Luke Lutheran preschool for thirteen years and served nine years as the director/teacher. She has been responsible for the expansion of the program at Trinity and has served on the staff since 1995.

Lorin Kummer, Teacher: Lorin, Certified Social Worker, Lorin holds a Masters in Child and Family Therapy from the University of Michigan. She earned her B.S.degree from Eastern Michigan University, specialiizing in Easly Childhood Development, Psychology and Fine arts. Lorin has been a teacher in Washtenaw County schools for 18 years. Prior to Trinity, she created and directed classes for youth and families at the Chelsea Center for the Arts.She is a licensed child and family therapist and a working artist.

Nancy Baldus, Teacher: Nancy attended Eastern Michigan University where she received a BS degree in Education. She is certified to teach regular education through 6th grade and special education through 12th grade. Prior to Trinity, Nancy worked with emotionally-impaired and visually-impaired children. Nancy has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1988 and has been a member of the Preschool staff since 1998.

Wendy Fremuth, Teacher Assistant: Wendy graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. in Social Work. She is a lifelong member of Trinity and has been active in it's Sunday School, Catechism, and Stephen Ministry programs. Wendy joined the staff in 2006.
